Found in adolescents above the age of nine, acne is a condition of the skin that usually disappears by the time the individual is nineteen. However, there are some forms of acne that continue into adulthood. Alternativley treatment by laser light has been found to dry the skin and so eliminate the bacteria causing outbreaks of acne. To keep acne under control there are some simple practical steps you can take: such as sticking to a diet that is low in fat, oil and grease while maintaining a good hygiene practice.

Perseverance is needed when using an adult acne cure as some can take months to have the desired effect. Be patient as it may take a while to clear up. You may be tempted into using a more stringent cure that promises a fast cure, but remember they may not be good for you or your skin (consult your skin specialist if your acne is not clearing as expected).
