Homemade acne cream – is it for me?
If you don’t want to use the the more costly cures for acne and you need to deal with spots then it can be daunting to think about making your own homemade acne cream. Self-confidence and self-esteem can be dented by the embarrassment of unsightly zits that mar the skins appearance making their removal a high priority. Not only that, they appear without prior warning in the most unlikely places and can be painful so without spending too much money you will want to rid yourself of these skin blemishes.
When acne occurs do not be tempted to squeeze or lance the spots it will only make things worse. Using a homemade acne cream will be much more beneficial to the state of your skin, with the added benefit of avoiding the cost of and expensive commercial product to save you a little money.

Before you start making the effort to produce your own homemade acne cream, take a look at your general health. Are you sleeping enough? Do you have a good balanced and nutritious diet? Are you drink sufficient water? Are you getting enough exercise? A deficiency in any of these areas will have a marked impact on your general well being and this will show in your skin. Working on these areas in tandem with treating the acne directly will have the best long term effect.
Now lets turn to your kitchen, if you have some garlic it can make a great homemade acne cream which will help you to reduce any swelling and clear up any spots. Use a garlic press to extract the juice and dab it onto the affected area and leave it on for five minutes before washing it off. Garlic juice is very strong, do not leave it on any longer and certainly do not leave it on overnight. Applying the juice to clear areas can help reduce the recurrence of acne.
Alternatively you can make a paste, by mixing a teaspoon of lemon juice with a teaspoon of ground cinnamon, and apply this directly to the spots to quickly make them shrink and disappear.
You can use homemade acne creams alongside changes to your diet to get just as good a result as using the more expensive products that we see promoted regularly.
